Stanley Andrews RSMA, a highly respected local artist, lived in Welwyn but his watercolour landscapes have been exhibited in galleries all over the country and are held in collections nationally and internationally.

A Private View was held in the gallery on Friday 16th July. It was a lovely gathering of family, friends and collectors of Stanley's work. A raffle was drawn on the evening for one of his watercolours which was won by an absolutely delighted Aileen Lawrence - a very fitting recipient! Aileen has been a good friend of Stanley and Cindy Andrews and is also a wonderful watercolour artist herself whose work we regularly show in the gallery.

Stanley was a completely self-taught artist, so included in the exhibition is his first painting as well as his last - a winter scene used as the family Christmas card 2009. All work is for sale apart from these two especially precious paintings
We, at Art Van Go, have known Stanley for several years and are proud to be able to host this retrospective exhibition of his work.
All proceeds from the sale of Stanley's work will go to The Prostate Cancer Charity and The Paul Strickland Scanner Centre, Mount Vernon. Almost £5,000 has been raised so far, and the exhibition continues until the 7th August.
